Cheryl Cole ‘dumps Ashley by text’… as he faces fight for his future at Chelsea

Cheryl Cole has sent a text message to husband Ashley telling him their relationship is over.
The betrayed singer sent the message after reading of her footballer husband’s five mistresses, according to reports.
Cheryl intends to return to the UK this week to announce the split, with a draft statement regarding the divorce already drawn up.
A close friend of the star told the Sun that when she headed to Los Angeles following her performance at the Brits she was still deciding her future.
But she is now clear that the marriage is over and is said to have consulted divorce lawyers.
‘The time for any more excuses or promises is over. She wants to have put a statement out by the end of the week so she can start moving on,’ the friend said.
‘She has no desire to humiliate Ashley further and wishes to proceed in a dignified manner.’
Even bookmakers were last night declaring it was ‘inevitable’ Mrs Cole would soon be filing for divorce.
A spokesman for William Hill said: ‘In our opinion, it is a done deal and we are happy to hand over winnings now.’
Yesterday one of Cole’s alleged one-night stands - the fourth to come forward - claimed he had sobbed down the phone to her that he would die if he lost his wife over their fling.
He is said to have pleaded with U.S. political aide Ann Corbitt to keep quiet about twice having unprotected sex with her in a Seattle hotel last July when Chelsea was on a pre-season tour.
A fifth alleged flame, Alexandra Taylor, also came forward to say she had sex with Cole on the night he ‘went public’ with Cheryl in 2004.
Yesterday, Miss Corbitt told the News of the World she had no idea Cole was married until she looked him up on the internet.
Meanwhile, Miss Taylor, a 27-year-old glamour model, claimed in the Sunday Mirror that she bedded the player just hours after he and Mrs Cole danced at the National Television Awards in 2004.
Cole was exposed as a love rat in 2008 for sleeping with hairdresser Aimee Walton.
Last week, it was revealed X-rated pictures of him were sent from his phone to Page Three girl Sonia Wild.
Just days later, Mrs Cole was again devastated by claims he had slept with Vicki Gough, a 30-year-old secretary.
The news comes as Cole faces a fight for his future at Chelsea Football Club in the light of the scandal.
He faces a suspension or ‘meaningful’ fine from Chelsea after claims he hoodwinked the club into covering up his philandering.
Yesterday, it was revealed that Steve Atkins, Chelsea’s head of media, told Cole and his lover Ann Corbitt how to silence allegations of a tryst.
However, he insists the pair misled him, saying claims of an affair were ‘false’.
Sportsmail has learned Cole is to be hauled before Chelsea’s board as early as Friday to explain himself.
The club decided to act because the defender’s alleged affair occurred while he was ‘on duty’ during a tour.
Billionaire Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has already threatened players with disciplinary action, telling them to stop dragging the club’s reputation through the mud.
One insider said: ‘Ashley might be the best left back in the world but the players were told on Wednesday that nobody is above the law. A line has been drawn in the sand and the owner has had enough.’
Last night a club spokesman said: ‘This is a private matter for Ashley Cole.
‘Where anything is alleged to have happened on Chelsea FC time is an internal club matter and will be dealt with internally.’
But Chelsea are taking a very dim view of Cole’s actions, not least because of the embarrassment caused to their highly regarded head of communications Steve Atkins.
Atkins was embroiled in the saga when Cole asked him to give advice to Ann Corbitt.
Cole is said to have claimed that he had not had an affair with the girl, but she now alleges that a liason took place.
While in LA, Mrs Cole has spent time with Derek Hough, a 24-year-old U.S. dancer. The pair have watched a romantic film together and dined at upmarket restaurant Katsuya.
However, Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli - who introduced the pair last October - said: ‘Cheryl is going through hell. Derek is a gentleman and he’s being a good friend to her. She is not the type who would do tit-for-tat.’
Cole’s solicitor said the player had no comment to make. A spokesman for Mrs Cole also declined to comment.

BRIT Awards bosses fear the turmoil surrounding Cheryl Cole’s marriage could wreck her bid to steal the show.
The babe has been left stunned by claims that naked pictures of her football hero husband Ashley Cole were sent to a glamour model.
Pals said the 26-year-old star was ploughing all her energy into her performance at London’s Earls Court Arena on Tuesday night in front of millions of TV viewers.
Ironically, she will be singing her No.1 hit Fight For This Love, which is nominated for Best British Single.
She was determined to out- perform pop rival Lily Allen. But those plans have now been seriously derailed.
Last night a show source told the Daily Star Sunday: “Cheryl was pulling out all the stops to be crowned Queen of the Brits.
“That’s all she was worried about until this whole thing with Ashley blew up. She’s trying to put all her problems with Ashley and those explicit photos to one side until after the awards but it’s really tough.
“She’s absolutely desperate to win the stage battle and rub Lily Allen’s nose in it as they have been at each other’s throats for years.
“But her mind could be on other things now – and totally understandably.”
Cheryl is planning to put on her sexiest stage performance ever on Tuesday night.
She even drafted in extra backing dancers after finding out Lily Allen is using a troupe of 30 dancers. Cheryl, who looked gloomy as she accompanied Ashley from hospital on Friday night, is now using 40 practically naked performers – 20 boys and 20 girls.
Our source said: “The girls are going to be taking to the stage in just bras and knickers while the boys are in skimpy black shorts with straps covering their nipples.
“Everything is being kept top-secret.
“Cheryl said she would not do a dress rehearsal until the last minute so people don’t know what she’s wearing. But who knows what the plan is now? Everyone’s got their fingers crossed that she can rise above the strain and put on a show-stopping performance.”
Last week it was revealed explicit pictures of crocked Chelsea and England star Ashley ended up on topless model Sonia Wild’s mobile.
Cole, 29, claimed the saucy snaps were taken while “larking about” in an England team hotel and he simply forgot to delete them before the pay-as-you-go phone was passed among his prankster pals.
But it is not the first time the London-born footballer has been in trouble.
In 2008 he was accused of cheating with a hairdresser. Ironically 28- year-old mum-of-two Sonia is a massive hit with England’s arch-rivals Germany – sparking claims she could be a “plant” designed to scupper the Three Lions’ World Cup bid. Postings on social networking site Twitter show the babe posing topless for the German “Express” newspaper.
Meanwhile we can also reveal the glamour girl has tried to snare Jordan’s ex-husband Peter Andre, 36, after contacting him on Twitter.
The Hull-based babe told Andre: “Hope you have fun in my hometown Hull at the Freedom Festival…great weather for it!!!!..xx”
Last year Geordie babe Cheryl hinted her husband is NOT her soulmate.
She said: “I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t trust anybody in life except my mother and my dogs.”
Last night Cheryl’s official spokesman, when asked about her marriage woes, issued a terse: “No comment.”

CHERYL Cole is terrified man-eater Vanessa Perroncel could have targeted her hubby Ashley, pals revealed last night.
The Girls Aloud babe is so scared that she has warned the Chelsea star: “Keep away from that woman.”
The singer is so disgusted by stories claiming Vanessa slept with a string of Blues players that she now wants nothing to do with her.
Cheryl and Ashley were such best pals with Vanessa that while she was dating Premier League ace Wayne Bridge the couples holidayed together in the south of France.
But that all changed after French beauty’s fling with Blues skipper John Terry and rumours of affairs with other Chelsea stars.
There is no suggestion 29-year-old Ashley has cheated with Vanessa, and the lingerie model has denied the allegations of flings with Blues stars. But friends said Cheryl is determined to distance Vanessa from her fella – especially with stories of Ashley’s own alleged cheating “very fresh” in her mind.
A pal of the sexy X Factor judge revealed: “All the WAGs fear Vanessa might have made a play for their husband in the past.
“It would be understandable if Cheryl felt the same.”
Vanessa split with Bridge, father of her son Jaydon, last July, three months before she was linked with Terry, 29.
But her fling with the Chelsea skipper prompted Cheryl to write to Bridge to offer her support to him and three-year-old Jaydon.
Ashley hit the headlines in 2007 after claims he bedded 22-year-old hairdresser Aimee Walton during a drunken one-night stand.
The pal added: “This situation has opened up old wounds for Cheryl. She’s forgiven Ashley but wants to keep him out of trouble.
“He’s friends with Terry and she doesn’t want him in a crowd of lads drinking and chatting up girls.
“She’d probably like it if he quit Chelsea.”
Terry, 29, who has since been linked with a host of other women, is said to have got Vanessa pregnant and paid for an abortion during the four-month fling.
When the news broke, his wife Toni, 26, fled to Dubai with their three-year-old twins Georgie and Summer. Terry is rumoured to be joining her at the weekend for an emotional Valentine’s Day reunion.

He is already attempting to patch up his marriage after the revelation that he cheated on his wife with one of her best friends.
Now John Terry’s woes have grown as Cheryl Cole, the ‘queen of the Wags’, offered her support to his mistress’s former partner.
The X-Factor judge, whose husband Ashley is both one of Terry’s teammates and has faced allegations of infidelity himself, has been in touch with Wayne Bridge to empathise with him.
Bridge’s former partner, Vanessa Perroncel, is currently considering selling the story of her affair with Terry, whose wife Toni Poole was one of her best friends.
Perroncel, a French lingerie model and former nightclub hostess, is also facing claims of an affair with another – unnamed – Premiership footballer.

Last night it was not known if Ashley was aware that his wife got in touch with Bridge, putting her on opposite sides from both Terry and Perroncel.
Cheryl is understood to have told Bridge how ‘sad’ she felt and that she too had been through some difficult times.
The singer told the Manchester City player that if there was ‘anything she could do’ to help him or his young son Jaydon she was ‘there for him’.
Bridge is understood to have told Cheryl her support meant a ‘great deal’ to him on the day he had an ‘emotional reunion’ with his former partner and child.
The Coles had previously been friendly with Bridge and Perroncel, and holidayed together in the south of France last summer.
But last night Miss Cole’s messages of sympathy suggested she was taking sides in the fall-out from Terry’s affair.
Her move was likely to be highly influential within the close-knit circle of the Premiership wives and girlfriends, suggesting they could close ranks agaist Miss Perroncel.
And it came as details emerged of how Miss Perroncel had met a string of celebrities and footballers – particularly Chelsea players – after arriving in Britain from her native France ten years ago.
Miss Perroncel soon got a job as a hostess at the Elysium nightclub in Central London’s Soho, where Chelsea players were regulars in the VIP area.
On one occasion the Stamford Bridge stars ran up a drinks bill of more than £34,000.
Terry was reported to have paid £30,000 of the tab.
Miss Perroncel and other club waitresses would be paid around £150 a week but the girls would heavily supplement their meagre wage with tips from club guests.
One source at Chelsea told the Daily Mail that players were warned that Miss Perroncel was ‘on the look out for a footballer’ and she is thought to have dated at least two of the club’s players before going out with Wayne Bridge.
‘Her ambition in life was to become a Wag and she worked at the club six years ago knowing she would bump into players on a regular basis,’ said a Chelsea insider.
Such was Miss Perroncel’s desire to net a footballer it is understood she then joined the Chelsea Club gym at Stamford Bridge – aware that players would use the facility.
Yesterday Bridge, 29, travelled south from his home in the North West and visited his estranged partner and three-year-old son.
The meeting was revealed by Miss Perroncel’s publicist Max Clifford, who said: ‘It was a very emotional reunion.
‘There were lots of tears. It’s been very upsetting for both of them and they are anxious to protect Jaydon from this as much as possible.’
Terry is said to have had a four-month affair with Miss Perroncel which began in September and also paid for her to have an abortion at a private clinic in October.

Cheryl Cole is to avoid other WAGs when the World Cup takes place in South Africa this year.
The ‘Fight For This Love’ singer will be flying out for individual games when husband Ashley plays, but won’t be socialising with the other girls.
A source told People: “Cheryl has no interest in the WAG lifestyle. She doesn’t regard herself as one and doesn’t want to behave like one.
“So she won’t be going to the World Cup for a holiday. She’ll be going as and when Ashley is playing, and her schedule allows, to support him.”

It’s not often you see a hard-working WAG, particularly one too busy for a summer of shopping, boozing and sunbathing.
But I hear that X Factor beauty CHERYL COLE, 26, won’t be joining the footie wives’ circus at this year’s World Cup due to her hectic work schedule.
The England team’s partners plan to ignore boss FABIO CAPELLO’s orders to keep away by arranging a fullon party at South African resort Sun City.
While Cheryl does intend to fly in to watch husband ASHLEY, she will fit it in around her career.
The tournament will kickoff just as she finishes a singing tour as guest of US band BLACK EYED PEAS.
Afterwards, she will prepare for the new X Factor series.
A source close to her said: “Cheryl has no interest in the WAG lifestyle. She doesn’t regard herself as one and doesn’t want to behave like one.
“So she won’t be going out to the World Cup for a holiday. She’ll be going as and when Ashley is playing, and her schedule allows, to support him.” The WAGs famously partied for three weeks during the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
The likes of ELEN RIVES, ALEX CURRAN, CARLY ZUCKER and COLEEN ROONEY were pictured daily shopping, necking champagne and singing karaoke in Baden-Baden. Sounds good to me.
But Cheryl spent her nights dining with VICTORIA BECKHAM. The source added: “Cheryl got on well with Posh but they’re not great friends any more so it’s not even like she’s got that incentive to go.”

Cheryl Cole is reportedly planning to avoid the ‘WAG circuit’ at this year’s World Cup in South Africa.
The Girls Aloud star will fly in for her husband Ashley’s matches but will arrange her visits around her work schedule, The People reports.
A source explained: “Cheryl has no interest in the WAG lifestyle. She doesn’t regard herself as one and doesn’t want to behave like one. So she won’t be going to the World Cup for a holiday. She’ll be going as and when Ashley is playing, and her schedule allows, to support him.”
The insider added that Cole is not particularly close to any of the other wives and girlfriends and spent most of her time at the 2006 World Cup with Victoria Beckham.
“Cheryl got on well with Posh but they’re not great friends any more so it’s not even like she’s got that incentive to go,” the source said.
However, previous reports have suggested that Cole’s fellow WAGs have asked her to find the best attractions in South Africa.

Cheryl Cole dazzled at a music awards ceremony this week – and not just because of her gold dress.
Her choice of a chic £4,020 Herve Leger body con dress to attend the DLD Starnight in Munich is the final proof the 26-year-old Geordie lass is an international style icon. It’s been a remarkable transformation for Cheryl. But then she’s had the perfect mentor in Victoria Beckham.
Their journeys are remarkably similar. Both started out in girl bands, married Premiership stars and are now the trendsetters to watch.
So just what style tips has Cheryl picked up from Posh, 35, who – let’s not forget – is the author of a book of fashion advice herself?
Work it… even when off duty
Posh has always known it pays to make an effort – even if you’re just on the school run.
And from the outset Cheryl adopted Posh’s off-duty uniform of baseball cap, jeans, plain T-shirt – oh, and oversized sunnies to make sure you get noticed.
Bag yourself a footballer
Following in Victoria’s fancy footwork, Cheryl netted herself an England footballer husband.

Victoria has always embraced the latest designs. And as Cheryl’s confidence has grown she has become more experimental, too – even showcasing outfits by her favourite designers.
She wore this cute Phillip Lim playsuit to the X Factor auditions in Manchester and has also worn unusual pieces by Giles Deacon, Stephane Rolland, Herve Leger, Alexander Wang and Versace.

At last year’s Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain Awards Cheryl looked stunning in a one-shoulder frock by Igor Chapurin. The elegant little black dress was remarkably similar to one of Mrs Beckham’s own designs.

BRITISH ‘Pop Idol’ Cheryl Cole has announced that she is about to release her first solo album in Spain.
The collection, 3 Words, will be on the shelves in Spain on March 2, although the digital version will be available by February 16.
Cheryl, who married to Chelsea player Ashley Cole in 2006, formed part of the group Girls Aloud, who won the reality show Pop Idols – now The X Factor – at the end of 2002.
She describes her first solo album as containing ‘urban rhythms and R&B influences’, and said she was inspired by artists such as Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Alicia Keys.
It has been produced by Will-I-Am, from the chart-topping R&B band Black-Eyed Peas.
The album also features composers Chris Braide and Steve Kipner, who have worked with the half-Ecuadorian blonde bombshell Cristina Aguilera, and with Kylie Minogue.
Cheryl Cole is currently in the running for one of the prestigious Brit Awards.

BANKERS Goldman Sachs sparked fury by revealing their staff got paid £10BILLION last year.
Their 32,500 workers worldwide, including 5,000 in the UK, got on average £307,000.
The news comes after a banking crisis brought the world to its knees and the industry vowed to restrain bonuses.
Here financial author DAVID BOLCHOVER argues top entrepreneurs, sports stars and other celebs do earn their riches but fatcat bankers do not.
He says: “People are right to get angry about Goldman Sachs giving staff on average £307,000. It can’t be justified.
“Some people also get angry about Man United star Wayne Rooney’s £120,000 a week.
“But he is a rare talent. When he scores a spectacular goal we know the only way we can do this is in our dreams.
“So what is it bankers do that others couldn’t? Sure, they can sell.
“But lots of great salespeople in other industries are nowhere near as well paid. Bankers also need to understand complex financial products.
“But would millions of university graduates, with degrees in astrophysics or Chinese, find that impossible?
“Top executives outside banking also get paid far too much. Who says they make the difference for their companies? Maybe it was just a booming economy or the famous company name.
“If Rooney is worth his money, the value of tennis’s Andy Murray is even more obvious as he is an individual sportsman whereas Rooney depends on his team.
“And Cheryl Cole earned about £7million over the last two years. Some unknowns might sing as well as her, even look as good and be as good an X Factor judge.
“But she is the one who is famous and she is so marketable precisely because of her celebrity. No one else can be her. Unlike bankers, she is irreplaceable.
“But I think real business people are worth every penny. IKEA founder Ingvar Kamprad, Europe’s richest man, is entitled to his £14billion.
“Like other great entrepreneurs, he stood on his own two feet and took risks. Good luck to his sort. They started their own companies and created jobs.
“I wouldn’t hold your breath for those bankers to try the same.”
