You may not have noticed that Joss Stone was back on the music radar these days.

But just in case you hadn’t, the singer has been busy trying to get all kinds of publicity by talking about things that will definitely catch our attention.

Joss has been talking frankly to Star magazine and admitting to smoking weed (shock horror), saying: “I smoke weed, but I don’t think it’s really drug. It’s more of a herb. I think everyone smokes weed and people who say they don’t are lying.”

Caught your attention? No, probably not.

But this next admission will. Miss Stone insists that she has never even heard of national treasure Cheryl Cole… at least until two days ago.

She said: “I don’t have a TV. I only watch TV when I go to hotels. I don’t listen to that type of music, so it [Cheryl] didn’t resonate with me. But I saw her and she’s absolutely stunning.

“I suppose she’s a singer, isn’t she? Cool, good for her. But it will come; she’ll be knocked down.”

Crikey… not only has she not heard of Cheryl Cole but now she’s kind of suggesting that she might not be up to much, or that she won’t be for very much longer anyway.

What is particularly odd about her admission is that she insists she that last year’s X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, who was mentored by none other than Cheryl Cole, is a “good friend”.

Hmm… porkie pies we think.
