SKINNY Cheryl Cole has spent a whopping £36,000 on a bizarre exercise machine-so she can look even SLIMMER next to Dannii Minogue on X Factor.

The tiny size-eight judge is paranoid she’ll appear chubby against her rival, who was recently snapped in great shape in her native Australia.

So she has splashed out on a “quick-fix” portable wind tunnel CHAMBER and special VACUUM CLOTHING to work out in after getting advice from staff at Harrod’s beauty salon.

The 25-year-old Girls Aloud singer is also hoping it will improve her skin-as she’s desperate for a TV deal in the States but has been advised she needs a better complexion to make it big there.

A source told News of the World: “Cheryl knows she’s not fat but she’s paranoid about sitting next to Dannii on TV.

“She’s seen photos of Dannii looking very slender and it’s made her even more nervous. She thinks this will give her the quick fix she needs before X Factor starts in August.

“The equipment also helps smooth skin and improve elasticity, so she sees it as part of her campaign to make it in the States. She’s been advised by Simon Cowell’s team to improve her complexion-as US TV is all shot in high definition.”

Cheryl, who is 5ft 3ins and currently weighs eight stone, was introduced to the HypoxiTrainer S120 machine when she visited Harrods Urban Retreat salon. After a few sessions she decided to buy one for home.

Users wear vacuum clothing to stimulate blood flow while they cycle for 30 minutes in the chamber’s wind tunnel- which comes up to the hips. It is temperature controlled to prevent sweating.

Our source said: “This is the latest fad among celebs and they’re starting to get convinced about the results.

“Cheryl loves that she doesn’t have to get sweaty-it’s a very glamorous way to work out.

“And she’s paranoid about cellulite, and it helps stop that by burning fat rather than building muscle.”

Other fans of the S120 include ex-EastEnder Tamsin Outhwaite, who used it to drop to a size ten within weeks of giving birth.

Let’s hope tiny Cheryl’s fitness drive doesn’t get out of control or there’ll be nothing left of her.
