Cheryl Cole reportedly stopped to chat to fans during a surprise visit to Starbucks in central London.
The Girls Aloud singer, dressed in a grey sweatshirt and black trousers, posed for photos with customers at a branch in South Kensington over the weekend.
“She was really nice, I’ve always been a big fan of hers from X Factor and Girls Aloud and I couldn’t believe it when I saw her,” builder Claudio Case told the Daily Mail.
“Even though she’s this huge star she was so down to earth and seemed really interested in talking to me about how my day was going.
“She was very charming and so beautiful in real life – just how she looks on television.”
Cole has reportedly been conducting interviews at the nearby Baglioni hotels to promote her album 3 Words in Europe.

SHE earned the moniker the nation’s sweetheart for her sensitive turn on The X Factor and during a recent outing Cheryl Cole showed she’s hanging onto it.
The stunning Geordie stopped to have a chat and pose for snaps with a passing builder as she picked up a coffee at South Kensington’s Starbucks
Wearing casual baggy trousers, a grey top and heels and with her famous barnet scraped back, she was a far cry from the glammed-up look she favours on the ITV1 show.
After his chance meeting, the builder raved: “‘She was really nice,” before continuing: “Even though she’s this huge star she was so down to earth and seemed really interested in talking to me about how my day was going.”
Cheryl was said to be shacked up at west London’s swanky Baglioni hotel as she prepared to promote her album across Europe.

Rowetta – formerly of Happy Mondays and The X Factor – is caught up in a row with Cheryl Cole and has refused the ‘3 Words’ star to let her use her vocals.
Cole wants to sample Rowetta’s song ‘Be’ when she performs live at the BRITs next week (16th February), but the singer has put her foot down – after it emerged they wanted to use another woman to mime her vocal part.
An angry Rowetta told The Sun: “Her record company asked to use my sample but wanted an ‘anonymous face’. I said I’m happy to perform but they don’t want that.
“Imagine if I wanted to sample Cheryl and got someone to mime her voice. That would never be allowed.”

Satchell told The Sun: “Her record company asked to use my sample but wanted an ‘anonymous face’. I said I’m be happy to perform but they don’t want that.

Former HAPPY MONDAYS singer ROWETTA is fuming at CHERYL COLE after the GIRLS ALOUD star asked to use her vocals for an upcoming award show – but snubbed her offer to sing live.
Cole wanted to sample Rowetta’s dancefloor hit Be for a live performance of her single Fight For This Love at the upcoming Brit Awards.
But Rowetta – full name Rowetta Satchell – was furious after record executives informed her that another woman would lip sync her part alongside Cole at the event.
Rowetta rants, “Her record company asked to use my sample but wanted an ‘anonymous face’. I said I’m happy to perform but they don’t want that. Imagine if I wanted to sample Cheryl and got someone to mime her voice. That would never be allowed.”
It was revealed last year (09) Rowetta’s vocals helped the Black Eyed Peas score a global smash with Boom Boom Pow, which samples her track Reach Out.

Cheryl Cole has upset a former X-Factor contestant, according to a UK report.
Superstar Cole wants to use a sample recorded by the contestant in her Brit Awards performance. The contestant, Rowetta, formerly of the Happy Mondays, objected to Cole’s proposed anonymity of her sample.
Cole proposed a version of Fight For This Love that sampled a mimed version of Rowetta’s song Be – but using Rowetta’s sample.
The UK Sun reports Rowetta said: ‘Her record company asked to use my sample but wanted an ‘anonymous’ face. I said I’m be happy to perform but they don’t want that. Imagine if I wanted to sample Cheryl and got someone to mime to her voice. That would never be allowed.

X FACTOR judge CHERYL COLE is in a spat with previous contestant ROWETTA over her planned Brit Awards performance.
Cheryl wanted to do a version of Fight For This Love sampling former HAPPY MONDAYS girl Rowetta singing dancefloor hit Be.
But Rowetta will only allow it to be used if she gets to sing it, while Cheryl’s people want an unknown to mime it instead.
Rowetta said: “Her record company asked to use my sample but wanted an ‘anonymous face’.
“I said I’m be happy to perform but they don’t want that.
“Imagine if I wanted to sample Cheryl and got someone to mime to her voice.
“That would never be allowed.”
There’s just over a week to sort it, Cheryl.

She’s been keeping a low profile in recent weeks, but X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has made a surprise appearance at a London coffee shop.
The 26-year-old, dressed casually in a grey sweatshirt, black trousers and heels, thrilled customers at the Starbucks in South Kensington by posing for pictures and stopping to chat with them this weekend.
None was more pleased than builder Claudio Case who was spotted talking to the singer for several minutes during her brief visit to the shop.
‘She was really nice,’ he said. ‘I’ve always been a big fan of hers from X Factor and Girls Aloud and I couldn’t believe it when I saw her.
‘Even though she’s this huge star she was so down to earth and seemed really interested in talking to me about how my day was going.
‘She was very charming and so beautiful in real life – just how she looks on television.’
The singer has reportedly been holed up at the £300 a night Baglioni hotel opposite Hyde Park this week while conducting a string of interviews to promote her album 3 Words across Europe.
Her coffee shop stop came as she was voted ideal teacher by school children in a recent poll.
The Girls Aloud star, who left school without taking GCSEs, was the top choice, with former Doctor Who actor David Tennant in second place.

COULD North pop princess Cheryl Cole become less popular than a mere sausage roll?
That’s the question being asked by internet mischief makers on social networking website Facebook.
A campaign has been launched to try to out-do Cheryl Cole’s fan club on the site by finding even more fans for a single example of the pork and pastry snack.
And the group has already attracted more than 695,500 members, with the goal being to eclipse X Factor judge and singer Cheryl’s 1,500,000 fans.
Cheeky fans have uploaded prank photographs onto the site, showing the Newcastle-born Girls Aloud star pictured in a variety of poses with sausage rolls.
The unnamed founders of the group, rumoured to be a pair of 11-year-old schoolboys, also make regular announcements on the campaign’s progress after more than 100,000 fans joined in under two days.
One post reads: “Cheryl Cole, feel the wrath of the mighty sausage roll.
“Just think, this sausage roll could become more famous than Cheryl Cole. Won’t that be a sight to see.”
Another says: “A little tongue twister for you to go and try. See how fast you can repeatedly say ‘sausage roll, Cheryl Cole’.”
And another post has a question for the fan club’s members: “How do you like your sausage rolls? With, ketchup, brown sauce, or Cheryl Cole?”
With members increasing daily, the sausage roll could easily overtake the popular singing star, which must be disheartening for her.
Equally worrying must be the fact that Cheryl’s own fan count has gone down since the sausage entered the fray.
But are these sausage-lovers the meal deal or just fry-by-night friends?
Well, the fans themselves have had their say on the web page, too.
One follower, David Burd, wrote: “Mmmm, tasty. And I don’t mean Cheryl!”
Alan McLean said: “At least when you get sick of a sausage roll you can throw it away . . . or give it to a tramp!”
Clearly knowing which side her pastry is buttered, Catherine Salmon wrote: “Ah sausage roll, you never let me down, you sexy beast!”
Beverley Fletcher said: “I’m loving that sausage roll. Just look at its ripples on the top, so tempting and so golden.”
And Angela Briggs adds: “The Roll vs The Cole, how cool!!”
Clearly the sausage roll has the X Factor, but it remains to be seen how it will handle the fame.
